Beutiful Prayer

September 18th, 2008

May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers,
half truths, and superficial relationships,
so that you may live deep within your heart.

May God bless you with anger at injustice,
oppression, and exploitations of people,
so that you may work for justice, freedom, and peace.

May God bless you with tears to shed for those
who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, and war,
so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them
and to turn their pain into joy.

And may God bless you with enough foolishness
to believe that you can make a difference in this world,
so that you can do what others claim cannot be done.

Verses to Live By

July 4th, 2008

The following verses adorn the walls of our Bible Institute and our Churches.
We have used them over and over again in counselling people.
If the Christian would memorize, use and heed them
he would be able to avoid most of the problems that arise in his spiritual life.
We offer them to you with the prayer that they will help to keep you
on the straight path and out of trouble.

“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD,
he hath also rejected thee from being king.”
1 Samuel 15:23

I was too little to reach the telephone, but used to listen with fascination when my mother used to talk to it.

Then I discovered that somewhere inside the wonderful device lived an amazing person. Her name was, “Information Please,” and there was nothing she did not know. “Information Please” could supply anybody’s number and the correct time.
